Hello! I first want to thank you for checking out the site. We have been working quite hard to get it to this point, so I hope you enjoy what you see.
I am Mark Zimmer, the guy behind Summit Up. As you may have read in the "About" section of the site, I will be reaching a personal goal by climbing the 50 state high points starting in April of 2009. Between then and now, I am going to be auctioning off the chance for 50 companies, individuals, or organizations to have their flag carried to the top of each of these 50 peaks.
The money that is raised will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association.
A final point you may find interesting is that everything that has made Summit Up what it is has been bartered for. I explain this more in the "About" section, but the quick explanation of why I am doing this is to prove that a lack of financial backing doesn't have to be the end to an idea.
